Description

Baytril® Otic (enrofloxacin/silver sulfadiazine) Antibacterial-Antimycotic Emulsion is a topical, nonirritating, water-based emulsion that is easy to administer. The product uniquely features two different antimicrobials with activity against difficult pathogens such as Pseudomonas. Silver sulfadiazine (SSD) modifies and weakens cell membranes and walls, while enrofloxacin attacks DNA gyrase to interfere with bacterial DNA replication. SSD also provides activity against yeast.
