*Continuous control means that, after 5 consecutive monthly applications of Advantage Multi® for Cats (imidacloprid + moxidectin), blood levels of the moxidectin active ingredient are continuously at or above the concentration required to control hookworms and are maintained between continued monthly application of this product. Therefore, any new exposure of the pet to infective-stage hookworm larvae at any time between the monthly application of the product results in killing of the larvae. Killing of the larvae prevents adult hookworms from developing, which prevents the production of hookworm eggs. If hookworm eggs are not being produced, there is less contamination of the pet’s environment, which reduces exposure of the pet to hookworms.
